Beach soccer action returns ahead of the 2022/23 Season

UGANDA - The Super Four competition will be the curtain raiser for the new season of the National Beach Soccer League. The Super Four is competed for by the top four sides as ranked by the previous season.

This, will be followed by the kick off of the league due January 22 with eleven teams set to take part. The Super four tournament will be played on a knockout basis.

The league defending champions St Lawrence, Buganda Royal, MUBS and KIU will battle it out at Mutoola beach in Mukono. Champions St Lawrence take on KIU who finished fourth last season while runners up Buganda Royals will face MUBS who came third.

The winners from both matches will fight for the super four trophy and the losers will battle out in the classification match for bronze. The 2023 beach Soccer league will then come a week later at different venues and it will be played in a double round robin system from January till June 2023.

The top four placed teams will play the championship playoffs to determine the league winner. There will also be a classification round for the teams placed from the 5th position to 10th battling out for the final positions in the 2022/2023 league.
