Deo Kasozi Aheebwa the new Kitara FC president thanked the executive arm of Kitara FC for electing him President of the mighty club , Bunyoro’s pride. He also thanked immediate former President Bamwenda , the club CEO Josh .

He also thanked Kitara FC Brand Ambassador for popularising the club which led to His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa donating a Bus to the club. It has been instrumental in not only providing transport to the players for matches but also as a source of revenue to cater for some club expenses. He also thanked the coaches and players for the hard work and resilience in spite of the many challenges.

Born 38 years ago, he went to Hoima Public School for primary level,Kitara SS Hoima and Excel Barding school Masindi for ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level respectively. He was admitted at Makerere University on government sponsorship after emerging as the best student in the region in ‘A’ level examinations. He graduated with a Bachelors in Procurement and later graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from Uganda Management Institute. Currently he is in the final year of bachelors of laws at Uganda Christian University. He works as a procurement specialist currently.

10(TEN) Focus Areas of his tenure.

1.CLUB OFFICE

His mandate has started with opening of a club office located at Plot 17, Hoima Main Street , P. O. Box 444, Hoima.

The office will serve as a secretariat hosting several offices including CEO and deputy, the President and his executive and the accountant. It will also sell merchandise of the club including Club Jersey, Reflectors, Vuvuzelas,caps , gowns , flags and many more.

Also membership payments and card issuance shall be at the office but several mobile Kitara FC vans will traverse the region on the same.

2). FOOTBALL STADIUM

Seasonal big league games will be played at Kigaya Football Pitch. Necessary modifications are being made on the same. During the season, construction will start of own football stadium at Butema, Kampala Road in Hoima district after purchase of 5 acres of land. The stadium will be constructed in phases; this season they will have the playing surface, dressing rooms and other facilities to the level of hosting premier league matches. Other major construction shall be undertaken in due course. HE promised to host home games at own pitch next season 2023-2024.

3). FOOTBALL TEAM AND TARGET

So far 11 new players have been signed in the club and their contracts have been dully submitted to FUFA. The junior Team of the Club has also been formed. The coaching department is fully filled with coach Makumbi having one year on his contract. All football gears for use in training and match days shall be of international standard.

Target is to bounce back to the Uganda Top Tier( Premier League) this season(2022-2023). The next season (2023-2024) is for remaining in the league and season of 2024-2025 is for winning the UPL to be able to compete in the CAF Champions League. This will be played in Bunyoro.

9.OWNERSHIP OF THE CLUB.

The club ownership is currently under Kitara FC limited with 15 shareholders which includes the president and all past presidents. During his term, the club will become a community club that will be run by a trust or association like the Real Madrid model.

10.FUNDING AND REVENUE FOR THE CLUB

This seasons budget is 600 Million shs.

SEASONAL TICKETS FIVE CATEGORIES

Platinum VVIP -500, 000 shs with benefits that include Platinum membership card, seasonal ticket( home games) all entitlement of VIP including reserved parking, eats and drinks at half time and sitting with the President. Target revenue is exp[ected at 25 Million shs.

Gold Category at 200,000 shs and includes VIP membership card, VIP seasonal ticket for all home games, Kitara executive jersey, sticker, and flag and 30 Million shs is the expected target revenue.

Silver category is at 125,000 shs and includes silver membership card, seasonal ticket for all home games, Kitara jersey, sticker and flag and target revenue is 31,250, 000 million shs.

Bronze category is at 75,000shs and includes bronze membership card, seasonal ticket for all home games, sticker and flag and target revenue is 33,750,00 shs.
