KAMPALA - Kitara vs Adjumani Match Preview

FBL Matchday 14 fixture:

12 – Jan – 2023
Kitara vs Adjumani
4pm
Kigaaya

Straight from winning and being crowned among the best of December as Fortebet Real Star Sports Awards as they continue to reward excellence, Patrick Kaddu was named the best footballer in the concluded month of December where he scored four goals. The Striker beat Kitara teammate Edson Agondeze and Vipers Winger Milton Karisa. Kaddu’s award was picked by his wife.

Patrick Kaddu and Edson Agondeze look forward to picking up three points as Kitara FC return at home for the opening game this new year when they host Adjumani Town Council FC in the FUFA big league on Thursday evening.

Kitara comes into this clash after registering a 1-1 draw with Soroti City FC and will be keen to maintain their home form. The last fixture at Kigaaya playgrounds involved the hosts thrashing Luweero United 4-0 with Kaddu Patrick, Stuart Akugizibwe, John Kisaakye and Edson Agondeze all getting on the score sheet.

Whether they can replicate that form tomorrow evening is what the fans will be hoping to see On the other hand Adjumani held Mbarara City to a 2-2 stalemate at the Paridi stadium and will hope to upset their hosts when the two sides meet. However, the visitors have not been good travellers as they have not picked any point from their four previous matches; they lost to Calvary, NEC, Jinja North and Northern Gateway despite scoring in each of those ties.

Adjumani last four away matches:

Calvary 3-1 Adjumani
NEC 4 -2 Adjumani
Jinja North 3 -1 Adjumani
Northern Gateway 2-1 Adjumani

With two games to the end of the first round, the hosts’ task will be making sure they go into the break still in pole position. Patrick Kaddu has scored in each of our last three games thus will be looked upon to lead the hosts upfront.

Team news:

Goal keeper Farouk Yawe is out with a shoulder injury he suffered during our draw with Soroti City last week. There he will not feature in any of our two remaining games against Adjumani and Kaaro Karungi.
