KAMPALA - Uganda's leading paints manufacturers Kansai Plascon paints have continued to invest heavily in the sports industry as they revealed a mega partnership deal to boost Buddu Saza team in the upcoming Masaza cup finals.

With a package worth $20,000, $10,000 will be in cash while the balance will go towards building the team's brand both at Masaza level and the national stage. The paint factory have given sponsorship packages across various clubs in football like; Vipers SC and Arua Hill. She Cranes and the Cricket Cranes have also been sponsored.

The paint factory announced a $20,000 sponsorship package totaling to almost 74M Uganda shillings to boost the preparations of the Buddu team ahead of the Masaza cup final as it was unveiled in a press briefing held at their head office in Industrial Area.

The $10.000 estimated around 37M Uganda Shillings will be given to Buddu team in cash and the rest portion will come in as part of the preparation package for the team during their time in camp.

Daniel Kayongo the brand Manager at the paint factory has dubbed the sponsorship as away of understanding the customers they serve.

“We pride ourselves in understanding our customers. That understanding stretches beyond our innovative and market defining products & services. It addresses the passion points that connect our brand to the customers. We have therefore identified sports as a major unifier.” Stated Kayongo.

Meanwhile, Moses Kato the national sales manager of Plascon has looked at sports as an area to enhance and add colour to their customers passion and love for sports hence opting to extend sponsorship to Buddu team.

“We have purposed to enhance and add colour to the customers’ passion moments and have identified sports as a platform that guarantees such unique opportunities. This is the foundation upon which all our various sports partnerships are premised.” said Mr.Kato.

Buddu striker Bruno Bunyaga who is to play his last game in the Masaza Cup thanked Plascon for the package which will boost the players as they prepare for the finals against Busiro on 4th March 2023 at Wankulukuku Stadium.

“I thank the Plascon team for the partnership they have extended to us today, it is a big motivation as we head into the finals as it will boost us in the camp and other preparations we shall have.”

We as Buddu are looking forward to writing history in defending the Masaza cup tournament and become the first team in history.”

“A final is one game match and we are going to work hard and avoid the mistakes we have been facing in the previous games, we are more prepared and are still looking for a couple of friendlies to strengthen our team.”

Bruno Bunyaga has all his targets set to clinching the Masaza Cup top scorers boot as he plays his last match despite lying behind the leading scorer with a goal less.
