Ms Allen Lule, the CEO of Top Model Uganda said that more than just modelling, Top Model Uganda promotes health awareness on issues like sexual health and endometriosis, teaches basic skills and provides training for the girls in areas like professionalism and others.

“Charity begins at home and so I encourage all the contestants to support one another because they are now a family under the Top Model Uganda Family. We have models, designers, dancers, photographers, makeup artists, nail technicians and singers who have all so far benefited from our platform,” she further revealed.

Lule thanked everyone that worked behind the cameras and they include Sula Kamoga, the event head, Rebecca Nalunga the fashion show producer, model coach Ken Prince, Jemba Rajab of vato ink, Aerial Clovis of Aerial photography, Diana Lule, Enid Akum and all her family and friends.

“The runway, designs and lighting were all great and we give special thanks to Nexus Events and their team and all the designers -credit goes to each and every one!” Lule said.

The guest of honour, the former president of Uganda Law Society Ms Pheona Nabasa hailed UK based Top model for embracing Uganda.

She said the platform has opened up opportunities for young talented individuals that want to join the fashion and arts industry.

By the end of the night 9 female models had been eliminated and 20 qualified for the finals.

“This was very sad for everyone involved as it has been a long journey for them all. Unfortunately, we had to do this. We had male models too as we believe in diversity, equality and inclusion. You are all welcome to our finals slated for the 4th of December at Mestil hotel", she concluded.

The night was closed by an electrifying performance by popular artiste Vinka.
