Nekesa Celebrates Museveni at 82, Praises His Visionary Leadership

National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Treasurer Hon. Ambassador Barbara Nekesa Oundo has congratulated President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his 82nd birthday, praising his leadership, dedication and commitment to Uganda.

In a birthday message to President Museveni, who is also the National Chairman of the ruling NRM, Nekesa described the President's leadership as visionary and said his commitment to the country's development continues to inspire Ugandans and members of the NRM.

“Happy 82nd Birthday to Your Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, our National Chairman,” Nekesa said in the message.

She commended Museveni for what she described as his steadfast dedication to Uganda, noting that his leadership and vision remain an inspiration to those working to advance the country's development agenda.

“Your Visionary Leadership, steadfast dedication and commitment to Uganda continue to inspire us all,” she said.

The NRM Treasurer also wished the President good health, renewed strength and wisdom as he continues to lead the country.

“We wish you good health, renewed strength and wisdom as you lead our great nation towards prosperity. Happy Birthday, Mzee!” Nekesa said.

She concluded the message with the hashtag #MzeeAt82, joining other NRM leaders, supporters and well-wishers in celebrating the President's birthday.

President Museveni, who has served as Uganda's president since 1986, is also the founding chairman of the NRM, the political organisation that has dominated Uganda's political landscape for decades.

Nekesa's message comes at a time when the NRM is continuing to mobilise its structures across the country, with party leaders emphasising unity, development and the implementation of government programmes aimed at improving household incomes and transforming communities.

As National Treasurer, Nekesa has in recent weeks been involved in NRM mobilisation and monitoring activities, including engagements with communities and beneficiaries of government programmes such as the Parish Development Model. Her birthday message adds to the growing expressions of appreciation from senior party officials as the NRM celebrates its chairman.

The celebration of Museveni's 82nd birthday is expected to attract messages from political leaders, government officials, NRM supporters and other Ugandans, reflecting on his long political career and the country's journey under his leadership.
