Believers Shower Owobusobozi Bisaka With Millions as He Marks 97th Birthday
Followers of the Faith of Unity have celebrated their spiritual leader Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka on his 97th birthday, showering him with millions of shillings and gifts in appreciation for what they describe as years of spiritual guidance, physical healing, and material transformation.
Believers credited Owobusobozi Bisaka with introducing a unique calendar that has reshaped their working lives. Under the Faith of Unity calendar, adherents work 27 days and rest three days each month, a rhythm followers say has increased their productivity and contributed significantly to their economic wellbeing.
Speaking during the celebrations, Owobusobozi Bisaka thanked the Ministry of Health for its guidance in the fight against Ebola, urging believers and all Ugandans to adhere to standard operating procedures set by health authorities.
He drew parallels with the country's response to COVID-19, expressing confidence that Uganda could overcome the Ebola threat through the same discipline and collective effort.
The spiritual leader also expressed gratitude to President Yoweri Museveni for his continued support of the Faith of Unity, saying presidential backing had helped foster harmony and national cohesion.
The birthday milestone was received by the faithful as a celebration of what they called the age of oneness, a central tenet of the Faith of Unity's teaching.
