KAMPALA - Uganda Police force is more likely to face hard times while embatling with artist Spice Diana's bouncers at Lugogo cricket oval in kampala on whether children should or not enter the singer's live concert this Friday.

Following the stampede at freedom city last year on 31st Dec where 10 Ugandans lost lives, police responds with strict measure to adhere with ahead to artist Spice Diana's live concert this Friday at Lugogo.

According to the Assistant Spokes Person of police Luke Owesigire on his visit to the concert venue at Lugogo on Monday, he informed the public through media that unlike at freedom city where children died, no minors this time round shall be allowed to access the concert premises by police as security officers will be alert at all the entrances to monitor and identify.

A lot of issues regarding children's attendance of night concerts have been discussed as security and concluded that they shouldn't be allowed because these are children juveniles in most cases.

About the guidelines on how to access the venue, all the revelers are expected to go through the access control measures since those are the checkpoints that have been in place for the past and currently however there are still issues to do with some musicians who don't accept to be checked by police, he added.

He indicated that the purpose for the visit was to check on the preparations as the security, event organizers and also the service providers, especially to find out how many people shall attend the concert depending on the size of the venue therefore the police team was led by a senior Commissioner of Police , who is the commander Kampala Metropolitan and discussed a lot of issues which later on concluded that the organizers are pretty much ready but not very ready, Owesigire said.

" We shall have second meeting on Thursday to confirm if they are ready 100% to go on with the concert however a number of issues including things to do with ambulances, things to do with fire brigade have been agreed upon to be in position."

Singer Spice Diana, as opposed to Owesigire's statement of not allowing minors to access the entrances of the concert, she said that all people must attend her live show as a special place shall be organized for vulnerables like the lame, elderly and children.

Further in defence of her statement, the singer Spice Diana added that her music doesn't segregate as it entertains the children too.
