Mauso Brian Leads Sincere PLU Cadres in Bugisu Mobilisation Ahead of Muhoozi Endorsement Rally
The mobilisation team has expressed appreciation to residents, grassroots supporters and local patriots for the warm reception accorded to them during their ongoing outreach activities across various town councils and trading centres in the subregion.
MBALE— Sincere Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) cadres, led by Mr. Mauso Brian, have intensified grassroots mobilisation across the Bugisu Subregion ahead of a planned endorsement rally for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Mbale Cricket Grounds.

The mobilisation team has expressed appreciation to residents, grassroots supporters and local patriots for the warm reception accorded to them during their ongoing outreach activities across various town councils and trading centres in the subregion.
The campaign is aimed at rallying support for Gen. Muhoozi's anticipated presidential bid in 2031, with the October 24 gathering expected to mark the formal launch of endorsement signature collection in Bugisu.

According to the mobilisation team, the planned baraza is part of a wider PLU initiative targeting 20 million signatures nationwide to demonstrate grassroots support for Gen. Muhoozi's political ambitions and his vision of a united, secure and prosperous Uganda.
Mobilisation gathers momentum across Bugisu
Mauso Brian said the Sincere PLU Cadres Team was encouraged by the reception received from communities during its ongoing mobilisation drive and called for greater participation as preparations for the endorsement rally gain momentum.

The team is reaching out to residents in Mbale, Sironko, Bududa, Manafwa and Namisindwa districts, as well as other parts of the Bugisu Subregion, urging supporters to participate in the forthcoming gathering.
The mobilisation drive is intended to build grassroots awareness of the planned endorsement exercise and encourage interested supporters to attend the rally, where the collection of endorsement signatures is expected to begin.
The organisers have called upon residents, political supporters and other interested members of the public to turn up in large numbers at Mbale Cricket Grounds from 10:00 a.m. on October 24.
They have also urged supporters to use the occasion to register their backing for Gen. Muhoozi's political ambitions as the PLU seeks to expand its support base across the country.
PLU targets 20 million endorsement signatures
The Bugisu mobilisation forms part of the broader PLU campaign, which aims to collect 20 million endorsement signatures from supporters across Uganda.
The initiative is intended to demonstrate the level of grassroots support for Gen. Muhoozi ahead of the 2031 presidential election cycle.
The proposed endorsement exercise is also expected to provide the movement with an opportunity to strengthen its structures, engage supporters and expand its presence in different communities.
For Bugisu, the planned rally represents an opportunity for the movement's local mobilisers to bring together supporters from the subregion and participate in the national signature-collection initiative.
However, the planned endorsement exercise should be distinguished from the formal electoral nomination process, which is governed by Uganda's electoral laws and procedures.
Mauso recognises PLU mobilisers and supporters
Mauso Brian has also extended special appreciation to individuals he credited with contributing to the growth and advancement of the PLU movement in Bugisu.
Those recognised include PLU General Secretary Hon. Twalla Fadil, Hon. Paul Mugoya Wanyoto, Chairman Mode Pius, Mr. Hussein Wachaji, Mr. Wanyonyi of Sironko, Chairman Bulombi Sam, Mr. Shema Saidi and Mr. Timaka Sam.

He also acknowledged other supporters and grassroots mobilisers whose participation has contributed to the ongoing outreach activities across the subregion.
The recognition underscores the role of local political networks in organising community engagements, mobilising supporters and preparing for major political gatherings.
The Sincere PLU Cadres Team says it will continue engaging communities as it works to increase participation ahead of the October 24 rally.
Call for a strong Bugisu turnout
As the mobilisation campaign continues, the team has renewed its appeal to residents of Mbale, Sironko, Bududa, Manafwa, Namisindwa and neighbouring areas to attend the planned baraza.
The organisers are looking to use the gathering to formally commence the endorsement signature collection exercise in Bugisu and consolidate the movement's grassroots mobilisation efforts.
The rally is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Mbale Cricket Grounds on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
With the event approaching, the Sincere PLU Cadres Team is seeking to translate the positive reception reported during its community engagements into a strong turnout at the subregional gathering.
The planned meeting will add to the political mobilisation activities surrounding Gen. Muhoozi's anticipated 2031 presidential bid, as supporters seek to build a broader base of backing for his future leadership ambitions.
