Captain Mike Mukula, a senior member of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), hosted officials from the NRM Eastern Sub-Region Parliamentary Chairpersons' meeting at his residence in Bugolobi, Kampala, on Tuesday.
Taking to social media platform X, Captain Mukula expressed his honor in hosting and chairing the meeting, highlighting its significance in mobilizing the party’s support across the eastern region.
“I had the greatest honor and privilege to host and chair the Eastern NRM Sub-Region Parliamentary Chairpersons’ meeting today, and we are going to launch massive district rallies in all areas of Eastern Uganda, starting with Busoga, Bukedi, Bugisu, Sebei, Teso, and Karamoja,” Mukula stated.
The planned rallies aim to strengthen the party's grassroots presence, engage local leaders, and mobilize support ahead of the upcoming political activities in Uganda.
The Eastern region has been a key stronghold for the NRM, and this initiative is expected to reinforce its influence in these areas.
The meeting brought together key NRM parliamentary representatives from various districts within the Eastern region. Discussions focused on strategies for grassroots mobilization and strengthening party structures at the district level.
