NRM National Treasurer Barbara Nekesa Oundo Gifts Bukedi MPs Assorted Leadership Packages

NRM National Treasurer Hon. Amb. Barbara Nekesa Oundo has extended a gesture of appreciation to Members of Parliament from the Bukedi Sub-region, providing them with assorted gift packages as part of efforts to strengthen engagement and maintain close working relationships with party leaders.

The gesture was highlighted at Parliament this afternoon when Hon. Derrick Orone, Member of Parliament for Gogonyo County in Pallisa District and Pallisa District NRM Chairperson, handed over one of the gift packages to Hon. James Waluswaka, the Bunyole West Member of Parliament from Butaleja District.

Hon. Orone, who also serves as the Publicity Secretary in the Office of the NRM Caucus Executive of the 12th Parliament, thanked Ambassador Nekesa Oundo for the initiative, describing it as a wonderful gesture towards leaders from the Bukedi Sub-region.

He commended the NRM National Treasurer for what he described as her continued closeness and alignment with leaders, noting that maintaining regular engagement between the party leadership and elected representatives is important in strengthening coordination within the NRM.

Orone made the remarks while handing over the package to Hon. Waluswaka at Parliament.

Waluswaka, who was the first beneficiary of the assorted gifts, expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Nekesa Oundo for remembering and appreciating NRM leaders from the region.

He thanked the National Treasurer for the gesture, describing the package as a thoughtful initiative that demonstrates the importance of maintaining a strong relationship between the NRM leadership and its Members of Parliament.

The initiative is expected to cover other NRM Members of Parliament from the Bukedi Sub-region, with the remaining MPs set to receive their assorted packages.

The gift package prepared for the leaders contains several items intended for both official and personal use. These include:

Notebook

Pen

Key holder

Card holder

Bottle

Although the items are simple and practical, the gesture has been received by the beneficiaries as a sign of recognition and appreciation from the party's national leadership.

The initiative also provides an opportunity for continued interaction between the NRM National Treasurer and elected leaders from the sub-region, particularly Members of Parliament who play an important role in representing their constituencies and advancing the party's programmes.

Bukedi Sub-region has several NRM Members of Parliament representing different constituencies, making continued coordination and communication between the MPs and the party's national leadership important.

The distribution of the packages is therefore expected to continue until all targeted NRM MPs from Bukedi have received their gifts.
