The Uganda Revenue Authority  head , John Musinguzi has commended the team at URA for emphasis in developing Uganda through tax collections but cautioned against corruption which of recent put the institute in frequent media outlets . 

Musinguzi said during the thanks giving ceremony that URA has lost credible employees because of engaging in corruption and they have been fired with no hesitancy.

Pastor Robert Kayanja and the Archbishop of Kampala Diocese, Stephen Kazimba presided over the annual Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) thanksgiving ceremony as they preached, wealth creation and transparency while dedicating the revenue institute to God for mercies.

The occasion that captured attendence of other dignitaries both in religion, government and business was emphasizing the need of walking with God in implementation of duties thereby holding a joint prayer for the URA organization.

John Musinguzi the Commissioner General,URA expressed his gratitude towards the annual event but expressed his concern against corruption indicating how they that have losed URA outstanding employees due to corruption sagas.

“I sincerely appreciate all our esteemed guests who joined us this morning for our annual Thanksgiving ceremony. We were truly honored by your presence as we gave thanks to the Lord for His grace and guidance over URA. A heartfelt thank you to the most Rev. Dr. Stephen Kaziimba for delivering a powerful message. His reminder that we must remain grateful in all circumstances resonates deeply. Indeed, past victories are great, but the best is yet to come.” He noted.

He however appreciated, Pastor Kayanja, for leading in dedicating URA to the Lord and for encouraging them to be wealth creators and faithful stewards in service to the nation. Your uplifting prayers and words of wisdom inspire us to continue our mission with purpose, Musinguzi added.

A big thank you to URA valued taxpayers and all stakeholders. Your partnership, support, and collaboration have been key in advancing URA mission. Together, we are building a stronger Uganda through service and commitment.
