Bishop David Kiganda to Advise Museveni on Fighting Corruption by Next Year
The vision bearer of Christian Focus Ministries Kampala Bishop David Kiganda has expressed worry over increased corruption in Uganda especially amongst government officials.
The bishop said this while addressing journalists at old kampala Secondary School in kampala on Thursday inviting Ugandans for a passover annual national prayer day themed," No Weapon Formed Against You Shall Prosper In 2023."
"We as born again faith leadership gave HE. President Museveni time to fight corruption and now that we see he has failed, it is time to approach him at a round table and draft measures together on eliminating corruption in Uganda, " Kiganda said.
He included that despite many challenges, in the past two years there were no such gatherings in huge numbers however there are a million reasons to find time and thank God who has soared lives and enabled many to reach this far.
The bishop noted that for the last fifteen consecutive years, the National prayer day has been committed to making a difference in the lives of multiplied thousands therefore this 16th annual national prayer day event is to be held at Old Kampala play ground on 31st Dec.
Gerald Ssekamwa the chairperson organising committee for national annual passover prayer described that there should be thanks to God for enabling gatherings this time round post pandemic, it has been three year's since gatherings on 31st Dec have been suspended.
Thanks to almighty for Bishop kiganda who has been empowered to perform this wonderful job, powerful men and women of God shall be available and call upon all the sick, lame and hopeless people to come for a miracle in God's name , he added
