Express, Kitara Face Off in Nakivubo Night Clash

KAMPALA — Express FC will be seeking to revive their early-season fortunes when they host Kitara FC under the floodlights at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The Uganda Premier League encounter is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 PM, with both sides entering the contest eager to secure a much-needed victory.

Express, known as the Red Eagles, have endured a slow start to the 2026/27 campaign, collecting one victory from their opening three matches while suffering two defeats.

Their latest setback came against city rivals SC Villa, leaving head coach Morley Byekwaso with the task of rallying his players for an immediate response in front of their home supporters.

Byekwaso will be hoping his charges can turn Nakivubo into a fortress and produce the intensity required to claim all three points in the night encounter.

Kitara FC, meanwhile, travel to Kampala looking to get their league campaign moving after playing just one match so far.
