Faith of Unity Leader Launches Nationwide Mobilisation Drive for President Museveni Ahead of 2026 Elections
Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, the Head and Founder of the Faith of Unity, has launched a nationwide mobilisation campaign in support of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as Uganda heads toward the 2026 general elections.
The announcement was made during a major gathering at the Faith’s headquarters in Kampyemi, Muhooro Town Council in Kagadi District, drawing leaders from intambiro healing centres across Uganda and from countries including Kenya, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the United States.
Addressing thousands of followers, Owobusobozi Bisaka reaffirmed the Faith’s steadfast support for President Museveni and the National Resistance Movement. He noted that the President’s backing during critical moments in the past had enabled the Faith of Unity to grow, expand internationally and strengthen its mission.
He urged believers to remain united and to maintain their commitment to supporting national development.
The event attracted several political leaders and aspirants, among them Major General Silver Kayomba, the head of Religion and Culture. In his remarks, Maj Gen Kayomba thanked Owobusobozi Bisaka for consistently supporting the government and the NRM.
He commended the Faith for motivating its followers to work hard, establish small industries and improve their livelihoods, saying these efforts have contributed to socio-economic progress within the community.
The gathering marked the official launch of the 2026 presidential mobilisation efforts within the Faith of Unity. Owobusobozi Bisaka called upon believers and Ugandans at large to vote for President Museveni, stressing the importance of safeguarding the country’s stability, unity and development achievements.
He emphasised that continued progress, including the growth of the Faith of Unity, depends on strong leadership and national cohesion.
