Gen. Salim Saleh Backs Umukuuka Mudoma's Five-Year Bugisu Development Plan

The Cultural Leader of the Bamasaaba, Umukuuka Wa Bugisu His Highness Sir Jude Mike Mudoma III, has secured support from the Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), Gen. Salim Saleh, for the implementation of the Bugisu Transformation Agenda aimed at accelerating socio-economic development across the sub-region.

The Bugisu delegation comprised ministers from the Bugisu Cultural Institution, envoys, professionals, Members of Parliament from the sub-region, and officials from Operation Wealth Creation.
During the meeting, Umukuuka Mudoma presented the Bugisu Transformation Agenda, a flagship development strategy anchored on the region's comparative advantages. He also unveiled a comprehensive Five-Year Bugisu Development Plan, outlining key priorities intended to unlock economic growth and improve livelihoods in the sub-region.
Following extensive discussions, Gen. Saleh endorsed the initiative and directed that an immediate situational study be undertaken to assess Bugisu's development needs and opportunities.
The study will be fully funded by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) and is expected to provide the foundation for targeted interventions and practical actions aimed at harnessing the region's untapped development potential.
The engagement marks a significant step in strengthening collaboration between the Bugisu Cultural Institution and government agencies in pursuit of sustainable socio-economic transformation for the people of Bugisu.
