Opio Abraham Cleared to Contest for Orungo County MP Seat in Amuria District

Opio Abraham has been officially nominated to contest for Member of Parliament representing Orungo County in Amuria District, marking a major step in the constituency’s evolving political landscape.

The nomination was confirmed on Monday at the NRM Secretariat in Kampala, where Opio successfully completed all requirements to join the race in the upcoming 2026 general elections.

Orungo County, one of the key constituencies in the Teso sub region, has long faced challenges related to infrastructure, unemployment, and access to basic services. Opio Abraham enters the race with a promise to offer transformative leadership and address the longstanding concerns of the people.
