A Travel to Nairobi Preaching the Gospel of Peace, Ukraine Solidarity Committee Uganda Admits HE. Museveni as a Peace Champion

KAMPALA - The Ukraine Solidarity Committee Uganda has made a humble request to the Fountain of Honour in Uganda, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for mentorship and guidance as they head to Nairobi Kenya while preaching the gospel of global peace.

On Thursday at Cariboo restaurant in kampala, the president of the committee Mr. Alex Makanga said that President Musenveni has promoted peace in Uganda and therefore it is high time to mentor the young generation in order to build a trail of peace ambassadors in the young people.

He included, the Kenyan consulate in Uganda has granted them permission to continue with their journey to Nairobi as they preach peace in the region and more so requested the consulate to offer security while in Kenya.

"We have also considered a visit to the ambassador of Ukraine in Kenya and discuss more on the way forward towards the road map in the Sub Saharan Africa countries, South Africa, later to Europe and USA as we advocate for the global peace," he noted.

Russia's aggression on the Ukraine state has been one of the recent global shocks, human cost and economic cost after World War II, thereby causing human deaths, displacement, global unrest and climate catastrophe causing Influx of refugees, food insecurity and energy crisis, Makanga explained.

"Africa has been heavily impacted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine with both direct and indirect effects of the war hence standing risks such as rising prices and supply disruptions which resulting from unprecedented broad economic sanctions

against Russian State apparatus and Ukraine’s bilateral business disruptions amidst a fight for its State Sovereignty."

He described that both nations hold a significant role in the global resource markets the Ukraine Solidarity Committee Uganda strongly believes that if Africa joins synergies with the rest of the World, this invasion will come an end.
