Bunyoro Derby Headlines Matchday 21 as NEC Visit Police

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League returns on Friday, March 13, 2026, with a thrilling set of Matchday 21 fixtures, headlined by the much-anticipated Bunyoro derby between Kitara FC and Buhimba United Saints FC at Hoima City Stadium.

The derby will mark the first official competitive match at the newly constructed Hoima City Stadium, adding extra significance to the contest. Kitara previously christened the venue with a 1-0 victory over KCCA FC in an inauguration match late last year, and will be eager to make another strong statement on home soil.

With both sides eyeing a top-six finish, Friday’s clash in Kamwokya could significantly shape the mid-table standings.

BUL Host Struggling Mbarara City

In Njeru, BUL FC host Mbarara City at the FUFA Technical Centre. BUL are eighth with 29 points and remain within reach of the top six. A win at home would enhance their push for a stronger finish.

Mbarara City, however, are second from bottom with 13 points and desperate for maximum points to avoid being cut adrift in the relegation battle.
