Renowned Ugandan scholar, ideological thinker, and strategic mobilizer Dr. Julius Nyanzi is set to deliver a high-level ideological lecture to the Air Force Command at Entebbe Air Base today, May 21, 2026, in an engagement that underscores the growing importance of ideology, mindset transformation, and strategic leadership within national institutions.

Drawing inspiration from celebrated African revolutionary thinkers and statesmen such as Samora Machel and Julius Nyerere, Dr. Nyanzi described the invitation as both humbling and historic.

“I am profoundly humbled and honored to have been invited by the Top Command to deliver ideological lectures to the Air Force Command,” Dr. Nyanzi noted ahead of the lecture.

The lecture, themed “Omukenkufu Nyanzi Ideologies in the Light of National Development,” is expected to focus on transformative ideas aimed at promoting patriotism, economic empowerment, industrial growth, and strategic national development.

According to Dr. Nyanzi, the future of Africa will not only be shaped by strong military establishments, but also by ideology, innovation, industrialization, discipline, and strategic wealth creation. His lecture is expected to challenge officers and leaders to rethink development through an African-centered ideological lens.

Central to the lecture are three major ideological pillars that Dr. Nyanzi has consistently championed.

The first pillar, “Ekyuma Kiwagala Kyuma,” emphasizes industrialization as the backbone of national strength and economic independence. Through this philosophy, Prof. Nyanzi advocates for mechanization, manufacturing, and the expansion of local industries as key drivers of Uganda’s transformation agenda.

The second pillar, “Money Grows on Trees,” focuses on agriculture, value addition, and innovation as sustainable pathways to wealth creation. The ideology encourages citizens to embrace agriculture not merely as subsistence farming, but as a modern commercial enterprise capable of transforming livelihoods and strengthening the national economy.

The third pillar, “Give a Goat! Get a Cow!”, promotes the philosophy of strategic growth, gradual investment, and economic multiplication. The concept encourages individuals and communities to begin with small but meaningful investments that can gradually expand into larger enterprises and lasting prosperity.

Observers say the lecture reflects a broader effort to integrate ideological orientation and strategic thinking into national development and security structures. It also highlights the increasing recognition of intellectual engagement as an essential component in shaping disciplined, visionary, and development-oriented institutions.

The event at Entebbe Air Base is expected to attract senior Air Force officers, commanders, and invited guests from different sectors.

Dr. Nyanzi’s ideological teachings have increasingly gained attention among youth groups, entrepreneurs, and leadership circles for their emphasis on self-reliance, productivity, and transformative thinking aimed at accelerating Uganda’s socio-economic development.
