Flynas Launches Direct Flights Between Riyadh and Entebbe

In a significant boost to air travel and bilateral relations, Flynas, a leading Saudi Arabian airline, has commenced direct flights between Riyadh and Entebbe. The inaugural flight touched down at Entebbe International Airport on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 3:30 AM and departed an hour later at 4:30 AM.
The arrival of the Airbus A320neo was marked with a spectacular water cannon salute, a traditional gesture of welcome and celebration in the aviation world. Uganda’s Civil Aviation Authority, alongside other stakeholders, warmly received the flight, emphasizing the importance of the new connection in fostering trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two nations.
Flynas will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, providing passengers with more flexibility and convenience. The airline’s choice of the Airbus A320neo, known for its advanced technology and fuel efficiency, underscores its commitment to delivering high-quality and environmentally friendly air travel services.
The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that the addition of Flynas to Entebbe International Airport's growing network is a testament to Uganda’s increasing appeal as a business and leisure destination. This new route is expected to enhance connectivity, create opportunities for businesses, and boost tourism in both Uganda and Saudi Arabia.
The direct flights will significantly reduce travel time and make it easier for travelers from both countries to explore opportunities for cooperation, trade, and cultural exchange.
