Leku Pilli Takes Unity Message to Adjumani West Voters on Day Two of Campaigns

ADJUMANI, Uganda — National Resistance Movement (NRM) flagbearer for the Adjumani West by-election, Hon. James Leku Pilli, has intensified his campaign activities, taking his message of unity, cooperation and effective representation to voters on the second day of his campaign trail.

Leku began the day by addressing residents in Abaricaku and Karoko villages in Biyaya Ward, where he urged voters to remain united and focus on issues that can contribute to the development of Adjumani West.

The candidate told residents that his campaign is not about creating divisions among the people, but about bringing communities together and building a strong and organised constituency voice that can effectively articulate their concerns in Parliament.

“We are one people, and our strength is in our unity,” Leku said. “I am not here to divide you — I am here to carry your concerns to Parliament.”

His message appeared to centre on the need for collective action, with Leku presenting himself as a candidate who would seek to consolidate the interests of residents across the constituency rather than pursue divisive politics. F

The second day of campaigning comes as political activity gathers momentum ahead of the Adjumani West parliamentary by-election, with candidates expected to use the campaign period to present their priorities and seek the confidence of voters.

For Leku, unity has emerged as one of the central themes of his campaign, as he seeks to convince residents that a united constituency would be better positioned to advocate for development priorities and ensure that local concerns receive attention at the national level.

The NRM candidate's emphasis on representation also places Parliament at the centre of his campaign message, with his pledge to take the concerns of Adjumani West residents to the national legislature.
