Rubaga Residents Declare Mukasa Sole Choice After NUP Vetting

Hon. Aloysius Mukasa, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Rubaga South, has been successfully, Tuesday, vetted by the National Unity Platform (NUP) Electoral Management Committee ahead of the 2026 elections.
After the vetting exercise, residents in his constituency of Rubaga South spoke with one voice, insisting that only Mukasa deserves the party flag.
Supporters openly dismissed his rivals, including Nasolo Euginea, saying they have no real support on the ground and cannot match Mukasa’s record.
“Mukasa is the only leader we trust. He has renovated schools, given scholarships to our children, supported youth with empowerment projects, and ensured better access to health services. Others have nothing to show,” one resident said.
Another added, “We are only waiting for NUP to confirm him, because Rubaga South belongs to Mukasa.”
Mukasa, who has served Rubaga South since 2021, has also built a reputation as a fearless activist who consistently raises community issues in parliament.
He has led protests, spoken boldly on behalf of the people, and remained visibly present in the constituency throughout his term.
Speaking after his vetting, Mukasa reassured his supporters, “I am humbled by the trust of Rubaga South. I will not relent in pushing for better services and defending the voice of my people.”
With a solid track record in both service delivery and activism, residents maintain that Mukasa is their only choice to carry the NUP flag into the 2026 elections.
