Bukoola Chemical Industries Wins Gold at 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Awards

Bukoola Chemical Industries Limited has been recognised as a Gold Winner at the 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Awards in recognition of its commitment to providing quality agricultural inputs, promoting farm innovation and supporting sustainable agricultural development across the region.

The award marks a significant milestone for the Ugandan agro-inputs company, which says it serves more than 20 million farmers and communities across East Africa through its crop protection solutions and other agricultural support services.

In a statement celebrating the achievement, Bukoola Chemical Industries said the recognition reflects the confidence and trust farmers, partners and other stakeholders have placed in the company over the years.

The company noted that the award reinforces its commitment to quality, innovation and sustainable agricultural development, with a focus on empowering farmers and other agricultural value chain actors to improve productivity, strengthen food security and transform livelihoods.

“This prestigious recognition is a testament to the confidence and trust placed in us by the over 20 million farmers we serve across East Africa, whose success continues to inspire our commitment to quality, innovation and sustainable agricultural development,” the company said.

Bukoola added that the achievement was not only a recognition of its work but also an opportunity to celebrate the farmers, employees, partners and stakeholders who have contributed to its growth and continued presence in the agricultural sector.

The company said its long-term ambition is to contribute to a stronger, more productive and sustainable agricultural future by ensuring farmers have access to solutions that address the challenges affecting crop production.

Nearly five decades of agricultural support

Established in 1973, Bukoola Chemical Industries Limited has built its operations around providing farmers with agricultural inputs and solutions to address challenges such as crop pests and diseases, declining soil fertility and increasingly unpredictable weather patterns.

The company recognises that farmers face multiple obstacles that can undermine yields, threaten household incomes and affect their ability to provide food for their families and communities.

To address some of these challenges, Bukoola offers more than 50 crop protection solutions developed using science-backed research to help farmers manage crop threats and improve agricultural production.

According to the company, its approach goes beyond supplying products to providing solutions designed to respond to farmers' practical needs and support better outcomes on their farms.

Bukoola says it continuously retests its products to assess their efficacy, underscoring its stated commitment to quality assurance and the delivery of agricultural inputs that meet farmers' needs.

The company also emphasises the importance of standing alongside farming communities throughout their agricultural journey, recognising that access to appropriate inputs and reliable solutions is essential to improving farm performance.

Supporting food security and livelihoods

The recognition comes amid the continuing importance of agricultural productivity to food security, household incomes and economic development across East Africa.

Farmers in the region depend on reliable agricultural inputs and effective crop protection measures to manage pests and diseases, protect yields and sustain production.

For Bukoola, supporting farmers is central to its stated mission of contributing to agricultural transformation and improving livelihoods across the communities it serves.

The company says its products and innovations are intended to help farmers achieve better harvests while supporting the broader agricultural value chains that connect producers to markets and consumers.

By providing crop protection solutions and maintaining a focus on product efficacy, Bukoola seeks to help farming communities respond to production challenges and strengthen their capacity to produce food for growing populations.

The company has also described itself as a “Visionary Agro-Inputs Company”, a recognition it attributes to the People and Government of the Republic of Uganda.

Recognition of a shared achievement

Bukoola Chemical Industries said the Gold Award belongs not only to the company but also to the farmers and stakeholders who have supported its operations and growth.

The company expressed appreciation to its farming communities, partners, team members and other stakeholders, describing them as an integral part of its development journey.

It reaffirmed its commitment to advancing agricultural innovation, maintaining quality standards and empowering farmers and other value chain participants to contribute to a more productive and sustainable agricultural sector.

As it celebrates the 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Award, Bukoola Chemical Industries says it remains focused on providing solutions that respond to farmers' needs and contribute to food security and livelihood transformation across East Africa.

The recognition adds to the company's public profile as an established player in the region's agro-inputs industry, with its future impact depending on its continued ability to deliver effective agricultural solutions and respond to the changing needs of farming communities.
