Homosexuals need counseling - Makerere Professor Advises Govt Of Uganda

KAMPALA - The principal of Makerere University Business School in Uganda has called upon all african countries and leaders to second the president of Uganda HE.Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhabura Museveni in the fight for LGBT as he looks forward to whether he signs or not the Anti- homosexuality bill 2023 amidst pressure from the western countries regarding threats of ceasing funding to the nation.

This follows the successful passing of the anti- homosexuality's bill 2023 by the parliament of Uganda on Tuesday night, awaiting for the president's signature to be put into action.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, on Wednesday called on President Museveni, not to sign the bill into law, saying that it “would mean lesbian, gay and bisexual people in Uganda will become criminals simply “or existing, for being who they are”.

Turk further warned the Ugandan government that the legislation would lead to systematic human rights violations.

He as well described that the adoption by Uganda’s Parliament of new legislation targeting lesbian, gay and bisexual people is devastating and could redirection of funds from Uganda.

Prof. Juma Wasswa Balunyuwa, the principal, has acknowledged that naturally some people are born with a romantic desire of the same sex and therefore this does not criminalise them but instead counselling could be the best doctor to the victims of the vice, he said on Thursday at serena hotel in Kampala.

Accompanied with the side effects of the vice, such as anus being ripped out in men, intestines being ripped out and also being unable to control the wastes from behind, it is why the majority in Africa are fighting the vice hence the practitioners require to be helped through consistent counselling classes, he explained.

However, the added, in the African settings, such behaviours are uncommon and this calls for the government to strongly stand against it, even in Europe a certain group of judges have also rejected same sex marriages.

''Uganda has passed the law and now being attacked by western countries, but remember the American president Joe Bidden has been criticizing it, the former American president Donald Trump has also been criticizing it, so as they say that aid shall be cut off from Uganda because of the bill, I request African heads of states through Pan Africanism to come together and do the same thing and help the practitioners overcome it because it is not part of our culture," Prof. Balunywa included.
