Mawokota South Welcomes New NUP Strategic Centre as Alex Kuuku Makanga Launches Five-Point Development Agenda

KAYABWE – MAWOKOTA SOUTH . The Aspiring Member of Parliament Alex Kuuku Makanga has officially unveiled a strategic coordination centre for the National Unity Platform (NUP) in Kayabwe Town Council, solidifying his commitment to grassroots mobilization and community development.
The newly inaugurated office will serve as a hub for political coordination, community engagement, and implementation of Mr. Makanga’s broader vision for Mawokota South. During the official launch, Makanga reaffirmed his dedication to improving service delivery and uplifting the livelihoods of residents.
Central to his campaign is a comprehensive five-point program focused on key sectors that include the Talent Promotion through Identifying and nurturing youth talent through structured support systems and opportunities. The Food Security, advancing agriculture, fisheries, and animal husbandry to ensure sustainable food production and household income.
The Economic Empowerment, Promoting social and economic transformation through entrepreneurship and inclusive development programs. The Educare, enhancing access to quality education and support systems for learners and the Health Infrastructure, upgrading healthcare facilities and improving access to essential medical services.
Despite these ambitions, Mr. Makanga acknowledged the pressing challenges facing the area, including poor road infrastructure, unreliable power supply, and the deteriorating state of health and educational facilities. He emphasized that addressing these issues will be a top priority in his leadership agenda.
Residents and party supporters have welcomed the establishment of the centre as a step toward more inclusive governance and visible political presence in the region.
