Police Crackdown in Wakiso: Two Suspected Criminals Arrested in Kasengejje Village

Wakiso- In a targeted operation against crime, the Uganda Police have arrested two suspected criminals in Kasengejje Village, Wakiso District.
The suspects, identified as Ssematimba Samuel and Kivumbi Bashir, were apprehended during the operation aimed at curbing rising cases of burglary and theft in the area.
According to authorities, a search of their homes led to the recovery of house breaking equipment and stolen items, which police believe were used in criminal activities.
ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrests, on Monday in a press briefing, stating that the suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue.
“This operation is part of our ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks in Wakiso and ensure the safety of residents. We urge the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities,” Rusoke said.
The police have reassured the community that further operations will be conducted to eliminate crime hotspots and bring perpetrators to justice.
