Hon. Amb. Barbara Nekesa Oundo Hosts NRM CEC, Secretariat for Busia Victory Celebrations
The colourful event was organised by the NRM National Treasurer, Hon. Ambassador Barbara Nekesa Oundo, in collaboration with district party leaders, and attracted hundreds of party supporters from across the district.
Members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Central Executive Committee (CEC), led by the Second National Vice Chairperson (Female), Rt. Hon. Annet Anita Among, alongside Secretariat leadership headed by the Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, Ministers, Members of Parliament, and local leaders, on today joined residents of Busia District in jubilant NRM victory celebrations at Buwanda Primary School grounds in Masafu Town Council.
The colourful event was organised by the NRM National Treasurer, Hon. Ambassador Barbara Nekesa Oundo, in collaboration with district party leaders, and attracted hundreds of party supporters from across the district.
The gathering was held to thank the people of Busia for overwhelmingly voting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and NRM flag bearers at all levels in the just-concluded elections, as well as for maintaining peace, unity, and discipline throughout the electoral period.
Addressing supporters, party leaders commended Busia residents for setting a strong example of calm and democratic participation, and reaffirmed the NRM’s commitment to strengthening peace, stability, and socio-economic transformation in the district and across the country.
