Jinja City is set to host a landmark event as Rotary District 9213 and Kiira Motors Corporation (KMC) join forces to mark the 100th Rotary District Conference (DISCON 100) in Africa. Scheduled for April 9th–13th, 2025, at the Civil Service College in Jinja, this conference will bring together business leaders, professionals, and change-makers from across the region to celebrate a century of service, leadership, and community impact.

Kiira Motors: Driving Uganda’s Green Mobility Agenda
Kiira Motors Corporation has been at the forefront of Uganda’s automotive revolution, specializing in the design, manufacture, and deployment of electric and hybrid vehicles. By partnering with Rotary District 9213, KMC aims to highlight the transformative impact of local automotive manufacturing on Uganda’s economic growth and industrial development.
During DISCON 100, delegates will experience firsthand Uganda’s green mobility solutions as they move around Jinja in KMC’s locally made electric and hybrid vehicles. Additionally, a visit to KMC’s manufacturing plant in Mutai, Jinja District, will provide attendees with an inside look at the production process and Uganda’s push toward sustainable transport solutions.
Speaking at the partnership launch at the Kiira Motors Corporation plant, Joreme Ayazika, the Director of Marketing and Sales at KMC, emphasized the significance of this collaboration:
