Rotary District 9213 and Kiira Motors Partner for Historic DISCON 100 in Jinja

Jinja City is set to host a landmark event as Rotary District 9213 and Kiira Motors Corporation (KMC) join forces to mark the 100th Rotary District Conference (DISCON 100) in Africa. Scheduled for April 9th–13th, 2025, at the Civil Service College in Jinja, this conference will bring together business leaders, professionals, and change-makers from across the region to celebrate a century of service, leadership, and community impact.

This historic collaboration highlights both organizations’ commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment. As the official Green Mobility Partner for DISCON 100, Kiira Motors Corporation, Uganda’s pioneering vehicle manufacturer, will showcase the country’s advancements in electric vehicle (EV) technology through dedicated transportation services within Jinja and an exclusive tour of its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.

Kiira Motors: Driving Uganda’s Green Mobility Agenda

Kiira Motors Corporation has been at the forefront of Uganda’s automotive revolution, specializing in the design, manufacture, and deployment of electric and hybrid vehicles. By partnering with Rotary District 9213, KMC aims to highlight the transformative impact of local automotive manufacturing on Uganda’s economic growth and industrial development.

During DISCON 100, delegates will experience firsthand Uganda’s green mobility solutions as they move around Jinja in KMC’s locally made electric and hybrid vehicles.
