Rubaga South MP Mukasa Gives His Salary Back to the People, Emerges as Uganda’s Most Charitable Legislator

Rubaga South Member of Parliament, Aloysius Mukasa, is steadily earning a reputation as one of the most selfless legislators in Uganda, thanks to his consistent acts of charity and unwavering support to his constituents.

Mukasa’s home and constituency office have become a regular destination for residents seeking assistance ranging from school fees and medical bills to community development initiatives.

His continuous presence and willingness to help have positioned him among Uganda’s most accessible and charitable MPs.

Close aides reveal that Mukasa saves “close to nothing” from his parliamentary salary, as the bulk of his earnings are channeled back into uplifting lives in Rubaga South.

Whether it is funding youth groups, supporting widows, or contributing to healthcare needs, Mukasa has made philanthropy a central part of his leadership.

“Hon. Mukasa has become a lifeline for many families. He is always available to listen and respond to our challenges,” said one resident in Nateete. “It is rare to find an MP who sacrifices so much of his own resources for the wellbeing of the people.”
