Victoria University Swears In 8th Guild Government, Pastor Wilson Bugembe Graces Ceremony

Victoria University has ushered in a new student leadership as Khaukha Emmanuel, a third-year Bachelor of Pharmacy student officially swearing in as the Guild President for the 2025/2026 term.
Friday, the grand ceremony, held in the university’s main auditorium, also featured celebrated city pastor Wilson Bugembe as the Guest of Honour.
The event highlighted Victoria University’s commitment to student leadership and governance while bidding farewell to the outgoing 7th Guild Government. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the university praised the previous guild team for their service.
"We extend our congratulations to the 7th Guild Government for a term well served. Your leadership and commitment to student welfare have positively shaped our community, and your impact will be felt for years to come. We warmly welcome the 8th Guild Government as they embark on this journey of service and excellence!"
Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Augustine Osamor Ifelebuegu, represented Vice Chancellor Lawrence Muganga at the ceremony and highlighted the essential role of student leadership in the university’s growth and success.
However , a special highlight of the event was the presence of Pastor Wilson Bugembe of Nansana Worship House, whose inspiring words left a lasting impact on the audience.
Victoria University acknowledged his contribution, stating, "Pr. Wilson, your blessings and words of inspiration have truly ignited a renewed sense of purpose within our community. May your light continue to shine, and may you inspire others to follow in your path."
