Hon. Amb. Nekesa: Bukedi Ready to Deliver Huge Win for Museveni and All NRM Flagbearers
Hon. Amb. Nekesa delivered the remarks on Thursday at Saaza Grounds in Budaka District, where President Museveni held a well-attended campaign rally as part of his ongoing nationwide tour seeking re-election for the 2026–2031 term.

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Treasurer and Head of the Bukedi Subregion Campaign Taskforce(Campaign Coordination Team), Hon. Amb. Barbara Nekesa Oundo, has expressed confidence that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will secure an overwhelming victory in the 2026 general elections. She revealed that leaders across the entire Bukedi subregion are united and mobilizing vigorously to ensure President Museveni garners more than 90% of the vote.
Hon. Amb. Nekesa delivered the remarks on Thursday at Saaza Grounds in Budaka District, where President Museveni held a well-attended campaign rally as part of his ongoing nationwide tour seeking re-election for the 2026–2031 term.
She emphasized that the NRM leadership at district, sub-county, and grassroots levels is fully aligned behind both President Museveni and the party’s flagbearers, ensuring a coordinated and united front ahead of the decisive polls. According to her, the NRM’s new mobilization strategy being rolled out in Bukedi is already yielding impressive results.
“Every leader in Bukedi is working tirelessly to ensure the President attains over 90% support in the 2026 elections. We are organized, united, and committed to delivering all NRM flagbearers as well,” she noted.
Hon. Amb. Nekesa added that the smooth progress of the presidential campaign trail in the subregion demonstrates the strong support President Museveni continues to enjoy in Bukedi. She highlighted that the refreshed mobilization strategy focuses on grassroots engagement, direct community outreach, and strengthening structures at every level—approaches she believes will translate into a decisive victory for the NRM.
During the rally, residents turned up in large numbers to listen to President Museveni, who outlined the NRM’s agenda for continued socio-economic transformation, infrastructure development, and enhanced service delivery.
As the President’s campaign tour continues to attract widespread attention, Hon. Amb. Nekesa urged NRM supporters to maintain their enthusiasm by turning up in even larger numbers for the upcoming rallies.
She called upon the people of Butaleja and Tororo districts to attend Friday’s campaign meetings on November 14, 2025, as well as the grand rally scheduled for Busia District on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The Busia event will mark the end of the President’s campaign trail in Bukedi before he proceeds to the Busoga subregion.
Hon. Amb. Nekesa reaffirmed that Bukedi will once again demonstrate its unwavering trust in President Museveni and the NRM’s leadership, noting that the subregion remains committed to the party’s vision of unity, peace, and prosperity.
