Kampala, Uganda – The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has announced its 2026 Dissemination Calendar for completed surveys and census reports, providing stakeholders and the public with a clear schedule for the release of critical statistical data.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Director of UBOS, the Principal Public Relations Officer, Didacus Okoth, revealed the calendar during a press briefing at the Uganda Media Centre. The move reflects the Bureau’s commitment to promoting transparency, evidence-based planning, and informed public debate.

The first report under the 2026 calendar is the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey (UMIS) 2025, slated for release on 12th March 2026. This comprehensive report will provide updated insights into malaria prevalence, the effectiveness of control interventions, and the overall impact of malaria on communities across Uganda. The UMIS is expected to serve as a critical resource for policymakers, health practitioners, and development partners working to eliminate malaria and strengthen Uganda’s health systems.

The full 2026 dissemination schedule includes a series of reports covering multiple sectors, including vulnerable populations, education, labor, human resources, aquaculture, and multi-dimensional poverty.

Key releases include:

19th March 2026: Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 4

26th March 2026: Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 5

9th April 2026: Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report 2025

16th April 2026: Labour Market Survey Report 2025 23rd April 2026: National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2025

30th April 2026: Uganda Aquaculture Census (UAC) Report 2025

7th May 2026: Uganda Harmonized Indicator (UHIS) Survey Reports – Wave I & II (2021–2024) and Wave III 2025

UBOS has confirmed that all reports will be uploaded on its official website, www.ubos.org, on the respective days of release.

In a statement, the Bureau emphasized the importance of utilizing these reports for evidence-based decision-making, policy formulation, and public engagement. Stakeholders are encouraged to leverage both the new and previously published data to support initiatives that drive socio-economic development in Uganda.
