Youths advised to mind more about Dignity than Homosexual Moneys

KAMPALA - As parliament of Uganda opens floor for debate on the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023 in Uganda on Thursday March, by Hon. Asuman Basarirwa the Bugiri Municipality Mp for first reading, The youths leader in Uganda adds voice to condemn the rising habit of LGBT amongst the youths.

Matters of homosexuality or LGBT concerns the whole country especially the youths because the notion of sex in Uganda is represented as a natural and romantic meeting of male and female.

The Bill, seeks to prohibit any form of sexual relations between persons of the same sex, prohibit and penalize homosexual behavior and related practices, prohibit the promotion of homosexuality and protect and provide assistance and payment of compensation to victims of homosexuality

Basariri today has implored all members of parliament to come out and show their stand publicly on the matter, by either through writing messages of a video, but most of all to campaign against homosexual and as well supporting the bill.

on the same note, Hon Anita Amongi, the speaker of parliament to the republic of Uganda, has been quote , “I can see a number of both local and international media, whenever we talk about Homosexuality here I see them coming. I want to welcome all of you, go ahead and cover, for us its about our morals and our cultures and I want to urge all members of Parliament please don’t and never be intimidated, we are doing this for humanity because we are here to represent the people out there, we are the voice of the voiceless,”

Jacob Eyeru, Chairperson National Youths Council, explained in Kampala, the panel code in Uganda criminalizes the habit as unnatural sexual behavior and it is about time that the Uganda takes a stand and seals off the matter by adopting a bill to ban homosexuals' because it is beginning to become the main political conversation yet there are other main political concerns to discuss about. '' if adopting the bill against homosexual is what parliament needs to do, it should be done quickly so that it handled by law like in Islamic countries where it is already outlawed,'' he said.

In lengthy comments, Eyeru included, homosexual is reacting to emerging cases of homosexuality and it has never been a diversionary topic of politics as it may seem, hence it is that reality that the talks are responding to, therefore the most important thing is the country to ban it and focus on other pressing issues.

He however added, anyone who wishes good for Uganda will never cease doing business, trade and investments with Uganda because of banning LGBT, the habit hurts families in all aspects right from the pagans, Christians and Muslims therefore it is the majority option for many Ugandans who are family based. it is better to strive for something as a Ugandan who believes in Uganda, this is a dignity question for the youths who are getting recruited into the habit of LGBT, dignity is more important than financial stability, dignity of oneself identity matters much than no dignity at all, he noted
