The 2025 season of the Corporate Games is set to begin on March 2nd at NEC FC Grounds, running through November. Chaired by Ian Lumanyika, the games will feature 16 sports, including basketball, chess, swimming, and two newly introduced disciplines, one of which is cat racing.

Beyond competition, the Corporate Games continue to champion social impact. Last year, the event introduced the Corporate Run to support maternal health.

This year, the initiative aims to donate 1,000 Mama Kits, each valued at 100,000 UGX, to expectant mothers in Iganga and Gulu. The Ministry of Health has identified the most critical health centers in need of these essential kits.

Jackline Kamakune, Senior Communications Officer at the National Rotary and Gaming Regulatory Board, emphasized the importance of this initiative.

“We are glad to be part of this because we are mandated to support such initiatives. This is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, and we have contributed to this noble cause of giving out Mama Kits.”

Key sponsors, including BetPawa, have stepped in to support the cause, with the company contributing UGX 10 million.

Allan Tumushabe, Director of BetPawa, reaffirmed their commitment to making a difference beyond business.

“We have been part of the Corporate Games for some time and are glad to continue supporting this initiative. It’s important that we come together to help mothers through the provision of Mama Kits. We appreciate the Gaming Regulatory Board and all sponsors who have stepped up for this cause.”

Corporate companies are encouraged to register and participate, as the games offer a platform for networking, fitness, and philanthropy.

With last year’s success, Corporate Games 2025 aims to build a stronger brand and extend its positive impact beyond sports.

Registration is now open, providing an opportunity to compete, collaborate, and contribute to Uganda’s maternal health sector.
