Mafabi Pledges Roads, Service Delivery, and Support for Lake Kyoga Communities in Buyende
Speaking to a large gathering of supporters at Bukungu landing site along the scenic shores of Lake Kyoga, Mafabi promised to construct all major roads in the district and improve public service delivery, should he be elected president.

Buyende, Uganda – Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi spent Thursday touring Buyende District in Eastern Uganda, engaging residents and laying out his development agenda ahead of next year’s general elections.
Speaking to a large gathering of supporters at Bukungu landing site along the scenic shores of Lake Kyoga, Mafabi promised to construct all major roads in the district and improve public service delivery, should he be elected president.
“I am committed to ensuring that the people of Buyende have better roads and efficient services. These are crucial for development and for improving the livelihoods of residents,” Mafabi said.
He also pledged to protect and support fishing communities in Buyende and across the country, emphasizing the lake as a vital resource for local survival. “Just as God gifted the Bagisu with fertile soils to grow coffee, Lake Kyoga is a blessing for the people of Buyende. They should freely carry out their activities on its waters,” Mafabi said.
Addressing the boda boda sector, Mafabi promised that his government would provide free loans to individuals seeking motorcycles, a measure aimed at curbing exploitation within the community.
Earlier at Kidera Subcounty, FDC Party President Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat assured residents that, under an FDC government, every village across Uganda would receive UGX 100 million to help elevate the financial status of local communities.
Mafabi called on the electorate to support him, saying, “Please give me your votes so that I can be in a position to deliver all that I have planned and promised this country. Everything in our manifesto is achievable. All we need is your vote.”
He will continue his campaign tonight with a live broadcast on 89.8 Bridge FM starting at 8 pm, focusing on engaging listeners across the Busoga region.
