KAMPALA - Putting politics aside, the issue of rising homosexual is a matter of national concern that needs all people to unite against.

As parliament looks forward to debating on the anti homosexuality bill in Uganda, the member of parliament on a National Unity Platform ticket for Makindye Ssaabago has condemned the practitioners.

On Tuesday , Uganda’s Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among informed countrymen and women that tomorrow the house will table Anti-Homosexuality Bill following the debate and news of imposing Uganda to adopting shameless practice by the West.

Amongi requested all legislators to vote negative for homosexuality because it is totally awkward and not African culture.

Rt. Hon. Among added that voting is by show of hands whenever legislator’s name is read during the session.

On the same note, Hon. David Sserukenya in Makindye has also expressed how bad the behaviour is and calls for immediate opposition for the acts especially from the government of Uganda.

To mention this, Sserukenya had turned up to meet with honourable councillors for the first council engagement of the year in Makindye Ssaabago at the sub county offices, a constituency which he represents in parliament.

"I had a revelation about homosexual's expansion in Uganda before I entered parliament and this motivated me to advocate for weddings in Uganda through offering my cars to bride grooms and grooms going for holy matrimony, he informed.

Sserukenya said that by giving out his cars for weddings, he intends to fight homosexuality and also show Ugandans the right path of marriage because development starts from a family that comprise of a father, mother and children, one can not build a nation if he or she fails to build a family.

He included that he has seconded over 500 couples into the holy matrimony in Uganda ever since he was entrusted by people of Makindye Ssaabago into parliament, therefore as the motion is tabled in parliament politics should be put aside, Sserukenya emphasized.

Appealing to government, Sserukenya noted that there should be continuous monitoring of the programs designed which are meant to support Ugandans escape poverty such as the PDM and Emyooga.
