UNATA President Godfrey Katongole Reveals Strategic Branding Tips to Elevate Business Success

The President of the Uganda National Traders Alliance (UNATA), Mr. Godfrey Katongole, has offered valuable guidance to entrepreneurs on the importance of building a strong and emotionally resonant business brand.

According to Mr. Katongole, a business brand goes far beyond logos and visual elements  it represents the emotional connection a company establishes with its ideal audience.

He emphasized that a brand is shaped by elements such as brand colours, font styles, as well as clearly defined mission and vision statements.

“A brand is not just a visual identity, but a channel through which businesses communicate with their target audience on a deeper, emotional level,” Mr. Katongole said.

He further advised business owners to carefully consider how they want their brand to be perceived and the kind of impact it should leave every time someone interacts with it. Strengthening a brand, he noted, requires intentionality in aligning business values with the emotional expectations of its audience.

Mr. Katongole's advice comes at a time when many Ugandan entrepreneurs are seeking to differentiate themselves in increasingly competitive markets. His message underscores the critical role that branding plays in business growth and customer loyalty.
